It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dave Kehl, devoted Chief of the Falmouth Fire Department, who left us on September 5, 2025. Dave was not only a steadfast protector of his community, but also a beloved father and grandfather whose warmth, kindness, and humor touched the lives of many.

For more than two decades, Dave dedicated his life to the Falmouth Fire Department, rising through the ranks to serve as Chief. His leadership, courage, and unwavering selflessness were evident in every call he answered. He inspired countless others to follow in his footsteps, leaving behind a legacy defined by bravery and compassion.

Dave is survived by his cherished son, Ryan Kehl, and his beloved grandchildren, Gage and Grant Kehl. He took immense pride in his family, sharing stories of their adventures and accomplishments at every opportunity. His laughter and love will echo in their hearts forever, and his spirit will continue to guide them.

In addition to his family, Dave leaves behind a community deeply grateful for his service and friendship. He was a mentor to many, a friend to all, and a beacon of hope in times of crisis. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and the values he instilled.

A memorial service to honor Dave’s life and contributions will be held on September 8th 2025 at 11 am, where friends, family, and community members are welcome to gather, share memories, and celebrate the remarkable man he was.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Falmouth Fire Department in Dave’s memory, ensuring that his spirit of service continues to inspire future generations.

Though Dave Kehl will be deeply missed, his legacy of courage, love, and community service will forever remain in our hearts.
